        Impetigo on nose pictures paint a pretty gruesome image of this type of the irritating skin disease. However, it is a true one. Impetigo on nose is one of the more serious forms of impetigo. While it might not seem all that complicated, impetigo on nose is rather bothersome and it has the potential of creating a series of serious problems for the sufferer.

       The impetigo on nose lesions are similar to those belonging to bullous impetigo on face, but with one very particular modification: all of those pesky little, liquid filled pustules appear on the inside of the nostrils. Why is that such a serious problem? Well, for one, the pustules tend to enlarge and occupy all the space they have. Now, on the face, that is not so much of a problem, but on the inside of the nostrils? If the nostrils become blocked, the patient cannot breathe. Also, if the pustules break and the liquid is inhaled, the pathogen agents will be introduced inside the lungs and they will wreak havoc in there, causing bronchitis, pneumonia and even septicemia.

       The diagnosis for impetigo on nose is a rather simple one, since the pustules are easily identifiable and the symptoms that the patient has are rather unique. After all, there are not many skin conditions that block the airways. The treatment is also pretty special: since the attending physician cannot wait for the pustules to break and dry because that would cause unwanted complications, he or she has to drain the sacks and make sure that the patient does not inhale the liquid. Once that procedure is finished, the wounds are coated with a topical antibiotic and a course of oral antibiotic is given, just in case some liquid made its way into the lungs.
