        The difference between impetigo rash and impetigo skin infection is rather minor. Actually, the only way to tell them apart is by studying some impetigo skin infection pictures before deciding on a diagnosis.

       Now, this similarity extends to both the picture it paints on a patients face and to their origin. Just like its milder sibling, impetigo skin infection is caused by bacteria.        While it is true that an impetigo skin infection is more difficult to treat and slightly more dangerous that a normal impetigo rash, that does not mean that it is a serious threat to anyone's health. Check with your attending physician and he or she might recommend you an oral antibiotic, in some serious cases, or an antibiotic cream, for the less severe ones.
